Dragomir Radev is a Professor of Information and Linguistics and Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University. Dragomir is currently the secretary of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL) and recently shared the annual Gosnell Prize for research in political methodology. He heads the CLAIR group which includes 10 graduate and undergraduate students. Dragomir an extensive publication record in text summarization, question answering, text generation, machine translation, Web document retrieval, and related areas. He is also a recently elected ACM Distinguished Scientist.

Dragomir Radev’s research areas include Natural Language Processing (NLP), Information Retrieval, and Network Analysis. He is particularly interested in methods that combine machine learning and language-based features for extraction of useful information from large textual collections. Recent projects have involved political science and bioinformatics.
